John the Baptist was the man that God used to announce Jesus Christ to the world. He was the voice crying in the wilderness of Judea. John preached repentance and the kingdom of heaven. He called people to turn from their sins and to look for the coming Messiah. John was rugged and steadfast in the presentation of truth.
