Jesus teaches the parable about the landowner and the laborers, and how they each receive a denarius no matter when they were hired. Those who worked longer complained. Jesus said that the landowner has a right to do as he wishes. Then Jesus tells his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem, be betrayed, suffer, and be killed, but on the third day he will rise again. The resurrection is vital to the entire story of Christianity.
