# 54 Jesus, Lord of the Sabbath - Matthew 12:1-8

Jesus and His disciples walk through a grainfield and the disciples pluck the heads of grain and eat it because they are hungry. The Pharisees see them do this, and accuse Jesus and His disciples of breaking the law - the sabbath. Jesus talks to them about David and the Priest and how they broke the sabbath, and were guiltless. Jesus told the Pharisees that they needed to show mercy instead of being caught up about sacrifices. Finally, Jesus told the Pharisees that He is Lord of the Sabbath.
