Jesus goes into the Synagogue and sees a man with a withered hand. The Pharisees ask him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" Jesus responds with a question of His own, "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out?" Jesus said that man is of more value than a sheep. Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. Jesus healed the man, and the Pharisees left and went out plotting against Him, how they might destroy Him.
