PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH

October is Pastor Appreciation Month so lets show Pastor Kim how much we appreciate him and Debbie.
Cards/Gifts may be given directly to Pastor Kim or left in the "Appreciation Basket" located in the foyer of the church throughout October.
On Sunday, October 19th we will be holding our monthly potluck downstairs between services as another chance to thank Pastor Kim for his constant and faithful leadership and guidance. During the potluck the "Appreciation Basket" will be downstairs as well. Since Mexican Food is his favorite, we ask all dishes be a Mexican theme.
Some Suggestions for gifts: Restaurant Gift Cards, Coffee Gift Cards, Pecan Pie, Snickerdoodle Cookies, $$ towards a new roof for their home.

Secret Sister Sign-Ups

Every year the ladies here at SLBC participate in our Secret Sister program ran by Leatha Traphagan.
This is a chance to show one of your sisters in Christ love and attention without anyone knowing it's you! At the end of the program we have a Reveal Party where we learn which one of our sisters has been praying especially for us and our family and leaving little unexpected gifts/cards at the church for us!
It is always a fun little way to get closer to your SLBC sisters.
Signup by filling out the Secret Sister Questionnaire available on the Ministry Wall in the foyer of the church and dropping it in one of our Tithe/Giving Boxes.

Nursery Ministry
Volunteers

We are still in need of a few more volunteers for our Nursery to function properly even in 5 Sunday months. Also, we have one volunteer in the Nursery during Sunday School time who needs a second person to help her. This is a great ministry to help out our young mother's and help their little ones.
*If you are interested, please contact Becca to fill out paperwork for a background check and she will let MaryAnn know when you are cleared to be put on the Nursery Schedule.
