What can we learn from the fig tree? What about other types of trees? We can learn the closeness of summer by watching for the branch and the leaves that begin to bud on the tree. When we see this, Jesus tells us that we know summer is near. So, the same is with the signs in Matthew 24:4-31. When we see these things we know the coming of Jesus is near.
